This training program assists anyone who has some involvement in BCM/DR - whether from BCM, Risk, IT, HR, Compliance, Operations or other business areas - to increase their knowledge. You will also get assistance if you are preparing for the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) qualification exam (DR-501, required for CBCP/CMCP/ABCP certification) and/or BCI certification (required for MBCI/AMBCI/FBCI certifications).

The 3-day Business Continuity Management training course and the 2-day Advanced BCP Testing, Compliance and Pandemic Planning Workshop,which have been developed in accordance with industry standards including Australian Standard HB221, British Standard BS25999, ISO/PAS 22399, APRA, ITSCM (ITIL), DS4 (COBIT) and DRII, can be conducted in-house or in public.

In order to provide you with assistance in getting ready for internal/external BCP audits, help you with Advanced Business Continuity Testing and Pandemic Planning challenges, Business As Usual has also launched a new 2-day workshop.

Advanced Business Continuity Testing, Compliance and Pandemic Planning (2-day workshop)

This workshop gives you hands-on experience and is a confidence builder for those who are faced with the challenge of Business Continuity (BC) or Disaster Recovery (DR) audits, BCP Testing and Pandemic Planning. During the workshop you will be performing an actual pre-audit self assessment on your own BCP based on the standards relevant to you, and you will also put together a BCP Test script and detailed BCP Test plan for your organisation.

Those who don’t have a BCP in place yet, will learn what they should incorporate in the process, in order to align their BCP with industry standards, Government Guidelines and industry best-practice.

The workshop assists you and your organisation with assurance or compliance/certification with standards such as ISO/PAS 22399, APS222/GPS232 (APRA), BS25999, AS HB221:2004, Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II, NFPA 1600:2007, ITSCM (ITIL) and DS4 (COBIT)

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how to review the organisation’s BC/DR processes
  • Get practical BCP Testing templates and practice with these during the workshop
  • Receive the latest best-practice techniques for Pandemic Planning
  • Know how to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls in relation to BCP audits and tests/exercises
