Advanced Business Continuity Testing and BCP Compliance (2-day workshop)

This workshop gives you hands-on experience and is a confidence builder for those who are faced with the challenge of Business Continuity (BC) or Disaster Recovery (DR) audits and BCP Testing. During the workshop you will be performing an actual pre-audit self assessment on your own BCP based on the standards relevant to you, and you will also put together a BCP Test script and detailed BCP Test plan for your organisation.

Those who don’t have a BCP in place yet, will learn what they should incorporate in the process, in order to align their BCP with industry standards, Government Guidelines and industry best-practice.

The workshop assists you and your organisation with assurance or compliance/certification with standards such as ISO/PAS 22399/22301, CPS232/SPS232/APS222/GPS232 (APRA), BS25999, AS HB221:2004, Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II, NFPA 1600:2007, ITSCM (ITIL) and DS4 (COBIT)

Learning Outcomes

• Understand how to review the organisation’s BC/DR processes
• Perform a mini-audit of your BCP based on standards relevant to you (e.g. APRA, BS25999, ISO, HB221)
• Get practical BCP Testing templates and practice with these during the workshop
• Know how to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls in relation to BCP audits and tests/exercises
